Who is Dr John WorldPeace?

The new poltical internet reality.

Obama harnessed the internet in 2008 and changed political campaigns forever. That was 6 years ago. Now Dr John WorldPeace is showing a who new dimension to the internet; the fact that there are all kinds of tools to use to run a bare bones yet effective campaign for political office. The Digital Natives (those who grew up with the internet) are going to rely on the internet and not the daily talking head news to help them decide who will get their vote. The websites for the candidates are going to be critical to running a credible campaign. And those who don't have a 21st Century website are going to be standing in the cold.

Dr John WorldPeace will show the way and just maybe like 2008 the old school candidates will be left in the cold with their big money and high tech TV which do not put so much time into actually talking about the issues in more that 30 second sound bytes. The average American reads on an 8th grade level. So You Tube is going to be a critical aspect of an internet campagin for office.

Bush vs. Clinton again? It’s getting ridiculous

It is a sad commentary on the state of our political system that it seems quite probable that the presidential political nominees for our major parties will end up being Bush and Clinton in 2016. Where is the outrage over the loss of the American dream when it comes to those we are likely to nominate for political office?

It is clear that Jeb Bush and Hillary Clinton have many positive traits and policies. Jeb is the moderate Bush we probably should have had in 2000, and nobody can deny that Hillary must have played an essential role in the success of Bill Clinton's presidency and that she possesses excellent leadership characteristics and credentials.

However, are there no other options?

It seems to me that in this era of political brand recognition the only reasonable solution is that there must be some sort of constitutional amendment or other act that prohibits immediate family members to hold the federal office their relatives once held. These candidates are only going to increase our dysfunctional political divisions in the post-Obama era when we most need candidates who will bring us together again.

Thank God, we have more than 20 years before Sasha or Malia become candidates.
